Mr. McTurk, Wilson’s teacher, asked him to do a project looking at African coffee since they were opening up their fundraising cafe a couple of weeks ago.  At Montessori, the Erkinder (grade 7 and 8) class learn about running a small business through hosting a coffee shack outside the main doors to the school in the morning when the weary eyed parents arrive.  They serve up a host of coffee brews, and as such Wilson’s teacher included him in on the opening of the cafe by asking him to do a report on coffee in Africa.

We were very lucky to be staying at a coffee plantation at the end of our trip in the Serengeti, and even luckier to have the opportunity to tour the plantation.  Here is his presentation (each slide will automatically transition, but you can move back and forth with the arrows):
